Screwed up Runlevel

In installed Fedora 10 on my machine and after modifying the runlevel to runlevel 3, Fedora will not boot up.

When it stalls on bootup, I hit the F10 key, and I noticed the line in the bootup sequence:

"telinit: illegal runlevel:333"

So it looks like that I had a finger spasm and hit '3' three times :{

How do I go in and repair this since Fedora will not boot up?

I do have a Fedora 9 Live CD, but I can't get to my filesystem on the hard drive.

Assuming you have an install CD (*any* Linux install CD - it doesn't necessarily have to be Fedora 10), then simply boot to "rescue mode", mount your hard disk's "root" partition, and fix the problem":

Thare should be a way to type the boot command, instead of letting the automatic booting proceed.

Find out how then type:
Code:
<system_label> 3
and it will start at level 3. Then you can fix it.

e.g. on my Slacware 12.2 I hit the "Tab" key to get the prompt before booting then type:
PHP Code:
Linux 3
and that does the trick.
