Screen shrinkage during Facebook games. Older linux and Firefox
 

While I'm playing the games, the screen shrinks. I go to "view", zoom in, go back to playing and the screen shrinks again. This happens over and over. It makes playing impossible as the screen shrinks to about 4X6 size. I'm not computer literate so any explanation would be appreciated.

It's very difficult to diagnose any kind of computer issue when you are dealing with older software releases, as the problem could have been something that is already addressed/fixed in a more up-to-date version.

Exactly how old are we talking about? Is this an Ubuntu machine, as your useragent icon indicates?

I'm not going to be much help. I know it's Ubuntu and it's 2.4. something Harmony. It's a home made computer from a friend. When I started playing the games months ago, there was no problem, but it started a couple of months ago and slowly progressed from one game to another. Now all the games except 3 (that I play) are doing it. I use Firefox and it worked great up till now. One game will stop shrinking if I reload a couple of times, but no luck in the others.
