screen saver


im using fedora core 4 and logged in as root and i try toi go to screen saver and theirs a lock around the icon? And it sayd cant start the X dameon?

does it work when you're logged in as a user?

yes

it works when im looged in as a user and not root? i cant run the screen saver as root?

i think it's probably that way for security reasons. why would you want to run X as root, anyway?
