screen resolution issue with redhat e 5 edition
hai guys this is my first post in this forum . ne ways i have installed red hat 5 enterprise and facing terrible problems with screen resolution iam able to find only 840 and 680 resloutions can i get 1024 by 768 ..
i saw some of the configs in /etc/X11/xorg.conf but not where i could find any number including the standard resolutions iam a real nood and need some help please by the way iam using acer 4520 nvidia graphic card ge7000m |
A cousin of Redhat rendering similar issues with me too
I also face similar problems but not that serious as raaki mentioned above. I am using Mandriva with intel i810 drivers on 865 chipset. With 2007 it all went right then I tried Debian it was just fine. Later using spring I got this trouble. the greeter opens with a resolution like 640X480. Then the desktop too the same. I have to change it then. I learnt earlier and the 2007 installation itself suggested using i915resolution. That was for Mandriva with Intel.
Redhat with Nvidia...!!!?? got to do some working on that... |

ne ways as admin #system-config-display after that choose monitor and expand you will find 1024*768 resolution select it login and log out you are donw |
