Question Screen resolution in Ubuntu 9.04.

I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) and everything appears to be working properly. However I'm only able to get 1024 X 768 screen resolution. My NEC display will support higher resolutions. The machine has an Intel 82845G/GL video controller. How can I get Ubuntu to offer higher resolutions?

I assume I'll have to edit one of the "X" files.

Yes, you may have to edit your xorg.conf file. Another issue may be that you need to allocate more memory for the device in your bios.

Perhaps the program grandr would be helpful.
