Screen Resolution during boot

Hey I was just wondering when I boot with my live cd I get a pretty, nice resolution 1400x900 when its loading everything and going into runlevel 3. But when I boot from the hd i get like 800x600 resolution, where is the file I can change that. Thanks

I think what you need can be obtained by editing lilo.conf and commenting in the appropriate VGA setting.
Cheers
