Screen resolution

Thanks Eddy1,
I have not installed any of the 3 programs on my disc (Puppy 4.3.1.and 5.1 + Quirky ) Have just trialed them. However i now have another problem with modems, have tried a Dynalink 1456 VQE,and two more soft type USB modems plus the Dell one installed !! So will now have to try and find a driver or another modem before going any further.Any help on this would be appreciated. Best wishes, and thanks again Eddy, Jim.

Most of linux software comes with drivers(modules) that automatically detects hardware and network devices, also default monitor settings.
