Screen is offset when resolution changes

Hi there!

I have just managed to install the OpenGL drivers for my Elsa Erazor III LT ( Riva TNT2 ). Now I can finally play games, but the screen is offset to the right by a couple of inches, which means I canīt see a big part of it. Whatīs the reason for that and how can I change it? Iīve already tried to fumble around with SaX, but I couldnīt fix it. :(

Have a fumble around with your monitor controls.

I use Windows and Linux together on the same machine - if I change the monitor controls, it may look right on Linux but then the screen might be offset to the left in Windows! Donīt tell me I have to reconfigure my monitor each time I boot another OS!

you can use xvidtune to move the screen around in linux and then get that modeline, which you can then put into /etc/X11/XF85config. I'm not sure how mst monitor resolutions are stored, but surely with each different frequency as well as resolution you'd have a different setting, so they shouldn't overlap should they?

Well, looks like fumbling around with my monitor controls helped - Iīm surprised myself, but thereīs no conflict with the Windows-settings, probably because different frequencies are being used.

Thanks anyway!
