screen blank on SUSE bootup


Loaded SUSE 10.1 from the free magazine disc, but I have now moved the PC...different screen, & after intial suse blue screen my monitor goes blank.
I guess I need to change the driver...where do I find it please?

Not necessarily, by blank, do you mean like a command line login ??

If so, the first thing to try is

startx
it might also depend on what graphics facility the PC has i.e. nvidia/ATi/i810 or whatever.

After you try the startx command, maybe you get an onscreen error. If so, what is it?

That may help someone with considerably more knowledge than me assist in diagnosis.
