Question Screen :0 Screen :1

Under /etc/X11/Xf86.config towards bottom of list screen :1 is mentioned. Is there a way to access this screen? do I need to have another monitor in place to use screen 1 screen :0 being my primary screen.

Reason for question I am running dos-box at..launch of game the whole dos-box screen disappears/ crashes? I need to go back into dos box in order to try again.

I read postings under games saw dos box entries but nothing of this category. outside of dos box <I know this> game from Jurassic park had a similar behavior. everything worked up to the point of game activation. I thought well heck where is screen :1 is it playing there?

DRM nouveau is my current driver for video have nvidia ready to load up. re modding the kernel removing nouveau looked extensive , I did see an article under games nvidia where changing nv to idia < and away from nouveau completely> < even after removing driver nouveau kernel appears in several places.

when I run lsmod. I do not have a video card persay.
Running off of adapter/nForce430(6150SE)HP AMD 64 dual processor 3200+ 1 gig of ram sounds like it is running too fast for dosbox? I have went into dosbox conf. to try and work with settings. ... no luck any help appreciated.

Try some key-sequence like Ctrl+Alt+F1 or is it Ctrl+Alt+1. There are hotkey sequences that I think will do what you want.

Many things have a -display option.

$ xterm -display :1

for example. Although xinerama tends to merge all screens under one :# by default these days.
