Scrabble

O Please help !
Bought the missus an Acer netbook with Linux Lite , 1st mistake i think.
Had it a week now and cannot do the simplest of tasks like download and play simple games even from linux sites,
I have however managed to download and get a trial version of window based scrabble to work which is what she wants, trial ran out so bought the full version but when i click on "already purchased full version" it wont open and install....a blank window opens with a little timer in bottom left hand corner. I know the version works as i have it on my Vista OS on laptop.

Please help

You really bought a netbook just to let someone play scrabble? And even bought a full commercial version of scrabble? And you run this on Linux via Wine (I assume)?

I really can't find the right words for this situation, but you could just as well download a VMPlayer from VMware, install a full Windows system inside it, install the full scrabble application inside the virtual Windows setup, and play along. It's massive overkill, I know, but your chances of running scrabble will improve greatly.
