Question Scanned area black only. Trust Easy Webscan19200 USB/Mandriva2009.1 Official

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hi everybody,

I would like to know, why black my scanned area only?
I tried from Xsane and Xscanimage program, same results: click on prescan and scanner start scanning and just rolling down a black area vs a scanned image.
I'm not a Linux guru yet, but I have some admin knowledge.

If I understand correctly, you're saying when you scan, instead of seeing the scanned image, its all black? Or is it just the non-white thats black?

Hi jamescondron,

Thanks for reply.
Yes, you understand correctly, also doesn't matter what I scan, all results just a black area. If I choice as option of "calibrate before scan", then I have also black sheet but with some stripes. I not remember exactly which one was, but it's worked under linux distro once a time -maybe under ubuntu-. HERE a link to about my printscreen
