scambled screen on Suse 10.1

Suse 10.1 install appeared to be successful. Nice blue screen appears then when timer finishes it goes to scrambled fine coloured lines. Tried re-installing, same thing. Similar thread mentioned resetting graphics driver. How would I do this please? (In absolute beginer's language?)

As simple as possible, you will have to post your computer Make, Model and video card before you will get a serious reply post. If it is a major brand use a search engine and find out the make up of your hardware. There is not enough time to give you step by step all the way.I almost quit before I saw the light, but before you get discouraged think of it as a self taught learning experience.
