If the other machine is already set up and has Firefox installed, you can use the Sync feature to sync Bookmarks, Preferences, History, etc., between both of them. You can set it up to sync between numerous machines.
To backup:
Open firefox > Go to "History" tab > Select "Show all history" option > A new windows will open, in that windows click on "Import and Backup" and select "Backup" > It will then ask you to save your bookmarks in .json format, so save it somewhere.
To restore:
Open firefox > Go to "History" tab > Select "Show all history" option > A new windows will open, in that windows click on "Import and Backup" and select "Restore" > It will then ask to choose file, so brows the .json file locations and upload the file. It will restore all your bookmarks into firefox in new machine.
You can copy/sync that bookmarks.json file into another machine using rsync or scp.
