saslauthd service will not start at bootup - centos 5.3
 

On centos 5.3

If I do

service saslauthd start

saslauthd starts fine.

However the same service does not start at bootup even though I have
chkconfig --levels 345 saslauthd on

and see them on with chkconfig --list saslauthd

I have even tried putting Start=yes in the saslauthd configuration file.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I have searched all log files and cannot find an error. So I am stumped.
