SAN errors while rebooting LINUX server

I have LINUX server connected to EMC Clariion storage.
When LINUX server reboots, it gives lot of storage related errors in boot process as follows;

Jun 20 18:14:22 lServer1 kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev sdc, sector 41943032
Jun 20 18:14:22 lServer1 kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev sdc, sector 41943032
Jun 20 18:14:22 lServer1 kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev sdc, sector 41943032
Jun 20 18:14:16 lServer1 kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev sdn, sector 0
Jun 20 18:14:16 lServer1 kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev sdn, sector 0
and so on..............................

My question is how to improve the LINUX boot process to eliminate these SAN related errors. Do I need to start or stop some hardware scanning processes???

Thanks in advance.
Sam

Hi,
First of all, what's your distro, it may help us/you for a solution.
I think it's possible to avoid hardware scanning but I don't remember how to do

hmmm, I remember under EMC Symmetrix when a disk is mapped & masked to a server, an other virtual disk is also presented.
The second disk I consider as virtual cannot be hide but it's considered as inconsistent.
What does "fdisk -l" give as result.
