Same ol' bone - VMWare, Laptop, Redhat 7.2 and resolution
I did as someone said the other day to look for solutions, but could not find. Apparently this is is to tough.
I have a CPQ EVO150 Laptop With CyberBlade i1 card. If I set Runlevel to 5 in ETC I end up in a display-loop, boot-window and back to display and loops. Cannot kill it. Apparently the XF86Free-4 or XConfigurator cannot set up the CyberBlade correctly. Luckily there is Linux-Utilities on the pseudo CD Rom you can mount, install and execute and that gives me 1024*768 just as one would expect. Now here comes the problem: I want the screen to be a 800*600 smaller window on the desktop, not the whole darn LCD. I tweaked XF86Config-4.vm enough to get 800*600 quality but the darn size is still the whole physical screen. If I have a windows-vm-guest I can set the display to 800*600 and the screen becomes a window which is part of the physical screen. So what do I have to do? SX:study: |
