I am unable to run either smbd or nmbd.
I am not able to see these daemons with "ps -ax"
even after running them explicitely from the command line.
gdb says "program exited normally".

I am pasting a portion of the /var/log/samba/log.smbd
and /var/log/samba/log.nmbd.

Please help..
