Samba Server - File permission

Hi -
I set up a Samba server on a machine with two users. I permitted my self permsission to access 'home/'. I can access 'home/mine' remotely but not 'home/otheruser' depsite having premitted myself r/w access to the whole 'home/' directory. Will I be able to permit myself access some way?
Thanks -
Scott

You need to have read/write permissions on /home/otheruser and not just /home.

only root can access freely all directories, /home/userX , is made in the case u have more than one users, and u don't want to look each others files.
but they could be, if u want, in the same group, and the files and directories belong to that group

Thanks. I was thinking that permission ran down to any dependent branch.
