Samba restart command?

Hi

How do I restart samba.

I get the following response when I type 'samba restart' at the command line:
'samba: command not found'

Much thanks.

You have to supply the path, like '/etc/init.d/samba restart'

Hi
Thanks for your responses.

At the command line I typed /etc/samba/init.d samba restart and received the error message :
bash: samba: command not found

I also tried smbd and similarly its not found.

I even changed directory to samba folder but got the same error message.

When I typed /etc/init.d/samba restart, the error message is
'bash: /etc/init.d/samba: No such file or directory'

Any more suggestions?

I'm using Fedora Core2 and the Mozilla Firefox browser.

On Fedora it is /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb restart , same for Mandrake and several others.

SUCCESS!

'/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb restart' worked.

Much thanks to you and the rest of the linux community.

Have yourself a great day!
