Samba + Quota
We're setting up a linux cluster at my work (Department of Life Sciences, Brigham Young University). we have a script that runs quota to make sure the professors don't use too many resources on the cluster, and we need to have the script run to set up a new user's quota every time a new user logs into the system. Naturally, we use a samba network because the professors all have windows machines, etc.
when we put the script into add user script in the smb.conf file, nothing happens. we think it may be winbind, not add user script, that is being run to add the user. any suggestions on where to "plug in" the script so that when a new user logs in, this script will be run? thanks. |
unrelated to networking. Moved to Linux - Newbie.
