Samba performance, traffic control
Hello everybody,
After finding dozens of dozens of helpful advice here, I encountered a problem I was unable to solve, or I should say, unable to find in any thread.
I seek advice on how to increase Samba performance. You see, nearly all popular FTP daemons have the abilities to adjust transfer speed, number of connections, drop idle users, etc.
I am nearly sure smbd has such abilities, but, well, I don't know how to turn them on. Could you advise me on how to modify my smbd.conf to set, for example, transfer rate, or maximum number of connections.
I will be most grateful.
PS: oh, and could you post some links to samba manuals/scripts. Like on how to enable browsing samba shares via web browsers in Linux.
PS2: Sorry if I missed a similar thread. If someone mentioned something about the things above, just redirect me there. Thanks.
