i did something but now an even bigger error comes up:

Can't Resolve adress
Unknown Parameter Encountered: "8"
Ignoring unknown paramteter "8"
Unknown parameter encountered: "encrytp passwords"
Ignoring unknown parameter "encrytp passwords"
Unknown paraneter encountered: ".max log size"
Ignoring unkown parameter ".max log size"

my guess ive put them in a wrong position..or? =)

post the edited smb.conf, syntax is important, as for the placement those options belong under global.

i noticed what it was =) but another error came up:

Can't load /etc/samba/smb.conf - run testparm to debug it
Can't resolve address
params.c:Parameter() - Invalid parameter name in config. file.
params.cm_process() - Failed. Error returned from params.carse().

nono never mind that error...i forgot # on global settings on top =)

now its the same...can't resolve adress

why not try this

[global]

workgroup = Done

server string = Samba Server

socket options = TCP_NODELAY

those are all current options from your config. once changes are made remember to restart smbd and nmbd.

oh no!! i forgot to restart smbd nmbd all time !!!! geez sorry =[ first ill try to restart them, and try changing workgroup again...after ill use your stuff =] sorry just forgot about smbd nmbd ^^ ill post as soon as i finishing testing again =) thx!!

you'll have to restart the daemons after any change, for that change to take effect. post any success/failure, we'll get this working.

i think ive gotten somewheres now!! it comes an error:

error creating /home/me/mnt/Share/User:
Permisson denied.

how do i get permisson to share?? =]

are you trying to create a directory? or trying to share a directory? that last error looks like your trying to share a directory that doesn't exist.

yes the directory is there i just dont know how to share =) ive tried right clicking, pressing Share, and make "Allow all users share from /home directory" and another button "Share this directory", but they get changed to "do Not share" as soon as i apply....

try adding this manually

[share]
comment = shared directory
path=/home/me/mnt/Share/User
browseable = yes
writable = yes
guest ok = yes

after adding this restart the daemons, then try accessing it again.
