Samba mounts not accessible

Looking for help setting up Windows drive shares under Mandrake.

used Samba mount search tool. Find the machines and the mounts.

Setup the mounts with a mount point /mnt/My-Documents.

When i go to the desktop icon to try to access the mount with my main user, it says:

"mount: ony root can mount //[machine]/[share] on /mnt/My-Documents"
"Please check that the disk is entered correctly"

Any ideas?

If you havce set up the mounts in /etc/fstab then add the "user" option to allow all users to mount it.

That worked. Thanks!

Do you know whether you have to have a password for Windows from unix? I am now getting a Password error. I don't think I have a password set. I am using Workgroup setup in Windows which is wide open...
