What is an "access runtime program"?

David@330 10-22-2004 03:02 AM

It's a Database were you can access different things, such
as spare items for different items and components...as for our
data base it's spare parts for stoves, fridges,......!!!

That is not an answer (for me, atleast)..

Is this some kind of special software?
Do you have an url to the thing? Does it have anything to do with MS Access?

I try to answer anyways..
-Can linux run a database? Yes, it can.
-Can you access a database from linux? Generally, yes. Excluding some proprietary poison.
-Can you do nice user interfaces (the ones that make you feel warm and fuzzy) for your data handling? With some effort, yes.

Yes it has something to do with MS Access ...?
It a program that run on your system that open mdb files and to view the info in it....?

You are answering to my questions with strange questions.
Maybe there is a language barrier between us or something, but I don't exactly follow..

If you are asking: Can you import data into your linux system from access database (the mdb files)?
Then yes, you can. eg. by using mdb tools.

openoffice is a suite sorta like MS office.
