Running SAP GUI on the New ACER Aspire one (linux lite)

Good day all wherever you are in the world. My name is Graham and I am the ERP Manager for a new SAP ECC6 implementation in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I have got some 300 units that will eventually run SAP, for now only 20 of the 300. Obviously we would like all to run in an online mode.

I have just purchased the Acer Aspire one (running Linux Lite) and would like to install SAP on the machine. It is light and portable just the thing for people in our line of business (catering services). I am running mine using a 3G etisalat dongle and can use it anywhere I like. I would like to get all my units and their managers connected to SAP via this wonderful little device.

My question therefore has anyone done something like this already, or planning to do the same. If so I would like to understand if this is possible on the machine.

very best regard
Dr Graham R Smith

There's a client available.. http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Inter...UI-31629.shtml or you could use the web interface for sap, which would probably be a better idea on a little machine like that.

Hi Graham. i have just bought the same acer running linux lite but i cannot get my Etisalat E170 dongle to load. I managed to download mobile partner and now it recognises the USB but wont connect or download the software, The dongle is working on my other computers but not the acer. I am new to Linux so probably missed something. Etisalat helpdesk says that linux is not supported but you say you have managed to get it working. Any help would be grately appriciated.
Thanks and regatds
Joe
