running programs in wine
 

hello

i just recently installed wine, but i don't know if i have it installed properly. I read alot the Wine HQ manuels, but still was unable to resolve my issues. They talk about having a config file in my ./wine directory and i don't have one, do i need a config file???? If some were can i get one.

when you run wine it automatically creats a config

just by typing wine in a terminal

then if you want to run the program type

wine program.exe

i typed wine,

then i typed wine notepad.exe and much of chars and numbers scroll by.
and when i look in my ./wine directory i see no config file.

and i did a find ~/.wine -name config -print and the shell just returns with no match.
