Running program from desktop
Hello!
I just started using Linux last night (Red Hat 9). I installed Netscape 7.0 and am trying to figure out how to run it from the desktop. I found the file and put a link on the desktop, but when I click on the link, I get a window asking me if I want to run the file or display the text. When I choose to run, Netscape runs fine. Is there a way to make it so I don't have to tell it to run the file each time Any help would be greatly appreciated! -- Sara |
You can just right-click on GNOME's desktop and "add launcher". No need to manually put links.

Thanks, jalal, for the info and the welcome!
I knew it had to be something simple. -- Sara |
