running outta ideas

I am running out of ideas on how to get on to my win2k box. I triend samba and it would time out, i tried kamba2 but it needs the updates, i tried to update and they wont take. Then i did the rpm extract with a -U on it and it still didnt work. Is there some way other than ftping into my win2k box to get on to my win2k box.
*edit*
now it says that tree connect failed

Yea, you can turn the telnet server on the win2k box on( I think its under control panel / admin.)

What do you want to do? share files or just have access to your win2k box? I use VNC to connect to my win2k server. Only time I've had to plug in a keyboard and monitor into it is when my 3com nic went bad, never had a 3com go bad before. Pissed me off. You can either use a client program, or use a java enabled browser to connect to it. VNC is really nice because its like your sitting right there at the machine, full desktop. Plus its free. RedHat 7.2 comes with the linux vnc server and client, but there is a windows version also.

you need to learn how to use samba properly. if you configure it by hand, and suss out what you need to put in the config file it WILL work, assuming the underlying network is going ok. make sure you have password encyrption enabled properly in smb.conf and so forth and you'll be able to access windows fine. http://samba.org
