Running NS-3

Hi,

I have suse 11 on my computer. I installed it because I wanted to execute a linux based network simulator NS-3. I have downloaded ns-3 and ALL of its supporting files. In order to execute ns-3, I believe I need a .exe file, which I am not able to locate anywhere. Is there any other way of executing the program?
I have also downloaded nam (network animator), it is also not getting executed because I am not finding a .exe file.

Can someone help me please.

Waiting...

Faraz

Linux does not use .exe files.

If you downloaded ns-3.2.1.tar.bz2 it can be unpacked to
e.g. /home/username/tmp with the command 'tar xvf ns-3.2.1.tar.bz2'
and build with './waf configure --enable-gcov' and './waf'
and then just follow doc/build.txt
(you will need python and g++)
And the result of "configure" will tell you, which other "-devel"
packages to install, to have all the options.

Please also consider "ns-2.33" (or "ns-allinone-2.33)
http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/
Possibly easier to use.
