running FDISK

I am currently running XP and slackware, and have the rest of the disk unparitioned. I went to make a partition for FreeBSD and got this error: Warning Re-reading the partition table failure failed with error 16. Device or resource busy. Loading both Operating systems afterwards works fine, it says that the changes will take place after I reboot. And as far as I saw they went fine. Should I be booting from the slack distro disk, or a linux rescue disk to to this? Thanks in advance.

I've only seen that when I have the drive mounted that I'm partitioning, so make sure the drive isn't mounted. Everything **likely** went fine though ;)

Cool

Partitioning error

Running FDISK while you have your filesystems mounted DID cause errors. Once reparitioned correctly using the FDISK from the distro CD's each installation went well.
