Running/Executing .run files


I'm a pretty much a newbie when it comes to linux, but i can kinda use the command line.

Heres the issue, i download Return to Castle Wolfenstien : Enemy Territory for linux, and it can as a .run, i am mistifyed as to how to open these files.

Set-up:
GNOME
Mandrake 9.2
Dual-Boot with WinXP

chmod u+x *.run
./filename.run
