Run Simply Accounting Using Wine?
 

Has anybody had any luck running Simply Accounting in Wine? I can get it to load and it starts up but when I attempt to load a file it locks.

Running Debian 6.0.

According to the wine Application Database (the place to look at before installing any Windows software) Simply Accounting has serious issues with wine.

So I would recommend to you look for a Linux alternative or to use Windows.

Yes, I read those reports. As they were rather old (the latest is 2008 IIRC) I was hoping maybe somebody got it to run and had not entered it in the Wine database.

It should run fairly easily I would think. It is just a simple database program.

If it were up to me I would switch to Gnucash, but the better half does the accounting.
