Hello, I am having a difficulties getting the my solaris machine to rsh to another computer that is loading a gentoo distro of linux that I can custom. I already thought about and tried to use SSH (I wouldn't be having this problem if I could) however the solaris machine does not have it so I'm left to use RSH.
I can RSH fine from the linux to the solaris but when I try to RSH from Solaris to Linux I get a "Connection refused". Can anyone help me out with why I can't go the other way?
I did some searching and found a similar thread Here. I followed alot of the suggestions and my setup on the linux machine is similar to his, I still can not get RSH to work however, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
