Hi,

From WikiPedia:
Quote:
RPMForge is a repository for software packages.
RPMforge is a repository for Redhat Enterprise Linux and derivatives like CentOS and Scientific Linux and provides many additional packages in rpm package format to these distributions. RPMforge will also deliver many additional packages for Redhat Enterprise Linux 6.
RPMforge had also many RPM packages available for old products like RedHat 8 after no longer supported by their vendors. You can still use them with package management products like APT-GET, YUM as up2date does not work any more due to expired SSL keys.
More information about rpmforge can be found at: http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalRes...ories/RPMForge
Kind regards,

Eric
