rpm dependancies

Hi. This problem may look easy, but I can't solve it.
When installing linux-mandrake on my computer, package-dependancies management did work ; but when using RPM to install a program (latex for example), I was told : this package needs something.rpm and something2.rpm to be installed... and it took me 10 minutes to install separately the 9 or more packages required. Is there any option that could help me ?

the rpmdrake part of mandrake will automatically install dependenices it has on it's installation disks, which is a step on from commandline or gnorpm programs.

Other than that.. well what do you expect? it's not psychic! :-)
