RPM: --aid not resolving dependencies


Hi

I am installing rpm using the switch "--aid". But it is not resolving dependencies!!
Can anyone please tell me why and what is the solution to this problem.

I am using RHEL 5.

rpm never did nor will it ever resolve dependencies

use "yum" to install software from the RHN repo
