rpm's and xmame/amsn

being a newbie to linux I have been d/l a few updates. I wanted to use AMSN (Windows Messenger) and Xmame. I have installed the RPM's with out a hitch....... But er what do I do now? I cant see icons in the menu for them? How do I run them. The websites seem to have lack of newbie advice.. anyone know where i am going wrong?

for amsn just invoke 'amsn' from a terminal window. if you downloaded a tar.gz file for amsn you might decompress it and then navigate to the directory where you descompressed it like
cd home/myhomedirectory/msn
and then type ./amsn

I haven't used xmame, but i guess is pretty much the same (type Xmame from command line)

Hope this helps
