Hi,

I checked the man page but not clear about rpc.idmapd timeout as,

1. What does "600 second timeout" means in rpc.idmapd in nfsv4

2. In what scenario do we need to execute, nfsidmap -c ?

3. Can this timeout set to never expire for uid/gid ?

also, if after 600 sec, the keys are not cleared then is there any alternative or workaround to clear the keys by default instead of running, nfsidmap -c ?
