Routers...

Hi. This is probably a simple simple question, but ive searched around on the forums and haven't found anything that answered it just right.

I'm a newb running Red Hat 8.0/Fluxbox and a friend of mine gave me an linksys router.. It has four ports. He didn't have a box/software or documentation. There are two other computers in my house. One XP machine and one running Win 98. I was wondering how to run those machines and mine through the router and let all three use my cable modem..

Can anybody point me to a good doc or FAQ that would address the mechanics of doing this? both on the computers and the router itself?

I dont have the model number with me but im hoping that most linksys routers are basically the same, with the WAN port..etc.

Thanks in advance.

connect ur Cat5 from cable modem to WAN port on the router, then each single pc with Cat5 cable to the ports on the back, restart each pc. Go to any browser and type http://192.168.0.1 type the login and password, dont know what's the default for linksys, check on their site. Configure the router (use wizard - easy). And you should be good.
