I looked up the Hitachi AH 4021 on Google. All of the pages that it found are in French. Do you live in France? Was this hardware provided to you by your ISP? It seems to me that if your ISP supplied the "driver", which may in fact only be a configuration utility, then they should also provide instructions.

Google search that I performed:
Code:
hitachi + ah + 4021
My comprehension of French is nearly zero but when I looked over the page listings on Google I saw the word "wireless" several times. Is this hardware a NIC or is it a router? If it is a router then is it a hardware card that you added inside your computer or is it attached to your computer by a cable? If this is a self contained router that connects to your computer by a cable then you may not need a driver. Linux already has generic network drivers plus numerous drivers for various hardware. You may have to download a Linux driver or it may already be available on your system.

What Linux distribution are you using. Each distribution provides a different level of hardware support than the others. You may want to choose a distribution that has support for your hardware.
