root to another user


If i'm logged in as root and i open a console, in the console how do i logout of root and log in to another user, if you get what i'm saying....

If you just want to execute commands as a user other than root use su username like

Exit will only work if you have already used su to login as another user in the same terminal.. etc.
And to think su stands for super user which most think, actually stands for substitute user as you can clearly see.
