Root Password Problems

All of a sudden my root has a passoword to it. It only started this the other day. Like in the console, I type 'su' it asks for a pass. I used to not have a pass but if i just press Enter now it says incorrect password. I can't goto configure my computer either, because it is password protected also. Can anyone help me?

By the way, in the future, you should never have a root account with an empty password. That's just not a good idea, so give root a password next time.

You can change it by using your rescue cds to log into single user mode. Also, you can try to crack it.
