Root password


I just instuled kubuntu 5..... And I need the root password cus i was not ask during the Instalation pls help me I need thanks

Kubuntu and the other 'buntus do not have the root account enabled, so there is no password. If you are asked for a password to perform an administrative task then enter your own password (assuming you are logging in using the account you created when installing Kubuntu).

Kubuntu 5.04 and 5.10 reached their "end of life" years ago. They are completely obsolete and unsupported in 2012. You need to download and install a supported release (10.04 or newer).
