Root Icon Problem.


Goodday!

OS: Redhat 9

Root folder icon on desktop not working.

When i double click on it, nothing happens.

How do i solve this prob and what is the cause of it?

What is this "root folder icon"? I don't remember seeing this when I installed RH9

I use KDE.
When i installed Redhat 9 , this is this folder on the desktop by default.
The folder with a name of "Root folder" on it.
The path is " /root "

Now When i Dbl Click on it, it doesnt response !

Can you help by explaining in detail on how

Are you logged in as root or as a normal user?

And the icon name is "Root Home" not "Root" soory abt that!

Did you set up a normal user? Running as root is very unsafe. Root's home directory is /root - check the properties of the icon to see where it points to and post back the results.
