Rhythmbox and mp3 and yum

Just trying to get rhythmbox to play my mp3's and having troubles getting everything together. Firstly I have fedora 1, so I updated rhythmbox from fresh rpms. I also installed gstreamer. Now I can get my music into the library but cant play it because of the mad thing. So then I try and get gstreamer-plugin-mp3 and it tells me that identical expectantcy loop exceded, needs gstreamer plugins 0.6.4. Then when i try and get yum to install gstreamer-plugins-0.6.4 it says cant find that package. If i run yum install gstreamer-plugins, it starts to install gstreamer06-plugins-0.6.5-0. Can anyone tell me if this is right or give me any other clues. Im downloading it now but have an exceptionally slow dial up connection, so if I can save a bit of time only getting what I need then that would be great.
