RHEL5 with Emulex and EMC
 

I installed the HBA LP11150 on a UnisysES7000 with RHEL5 connected to an EMC CX-CLARION with no power-path. I applied the firmware Firmware version 2.70a2 . I can see the disks but I can’t handle with them.

[root@hseau370 ~]# /etc/vx/bin/vxdisksetup -i /dev/sde format=sliced

VxVM vxdisksetup ERROR V-5-2-1118 /dev/sde: Can not get disk information.

[root@hseau370 ~]# fdisk -l /dev/sde

[root@hseau370 ~]# /etc/vx/bin/vxdisksetup -i sde format=sliced

Disk write failure
