RHEL Web server enhancement

The issue is i am using the RHEL server as my webserver and database centre. Now its a brand new formatted server with good amount of RAM and the usage is not much. Its being accessed locally over the LAN. But still i can see speed deficiency. Some of the pages do not get loaded and some times i can see the delays in loading the new pages. Any idea y is it so? Or is there anything i can do to increase the speed?

Regards,
Debu

Show the output of top cmd. Quote the basic HW specs and distro/ver (cat /etc/*release*) and web and DB names/versions.
Define slow; are you sure some pages don't get loaded at all?

Hello Chris,
For the command cat /etc/*release*
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.6 (Tikanga)

DB is mysql.
Slow i am referring is to as in there are some points where the date is not getting loaded from the date time box. Well the remaining pages gets loaded but sometimes there is lag in that. I think it should not happen cause we are accessing it from the LAN. Also the team who has done the deployment has asked me to just check with it. I want to know if its a technical fault or what other factors might come into picture?

Regards,

Debu

top cmd when problem appears.
Also, how many users on at that pt in time?
What application prog language; do you really mean date field on web page and datetime from the DB?
Check the app code; is it using an indexed column on DB?
