RHEL 6.5 OS download free

Hello,

I just bought a Dell Poweredge C1100 server. I want to install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5 (x86_64bit) OS on it. Please let me know where I can download RHEL 6.5 Operating System software for free (not trial/evaluation version). I have heard it is available free of cost. I just don't know the exact website. I would greatly appreciate your help on this. Thanks much in advance.

Regards,
Subhransu Mishra

You can get it from the official site. It is free to download but you need to pay for support to get updates.

Option 2 is to use CentOS which is free to download and use and is 99.xx% like RedHat

Bear in mind, what you asked for is against the LQ rules .... If you want RedHat then do it the right way.

RHEL is not a free OS. While you can download and install it for free, you will not have access to the RedHat Network (RHN), which means no updates, which means it's basically useless. If you don't want to pay for support, then don't install RHEL. Install CentOS or Scientific Linux instead.
