rhel 5 installation on core 2 duo with SATA HDD


RHEL 5 installation fails on intel core 2 duo PC with SATA, even with boot parameters "all-generic-ide" + "pci=nommconf"

Try pci=nomsi

If that doesn't work, you may have to go into BIOS and set your hard drive to use IDE emulation rather than AHCI.
